Re: IPv6 beta Hi everyone ! I'm currently struggling to make IPv6 to work with my new Netgear WNDR-3800 router.
There are two config pages for the Internet connection :
On the first one, I configured the PPPoE connection, with the login ending with "@hsiservice.net", the password, and the "Always active" parameters. The other data were added automatically by the router.

Then I went to the IpV6 page.
I was given 2607:f2c0:blah1:1db::/64 and 2607:f2c0:blah2:c600::/56

My computer gets an IPv6 adress starting with 2607:f2c0:blah1:1db. I suppose that's correct. But I can't access any ipv6 site, and test-ipv6.com gives me a score of 0/10
Does anyone see something I didn't do correctly ? Something I missed ? Thanks |

 | This is just a shot in the dark but try swapping the WAN IPv6 and LAN IPv6 addresses and update the Default Ipv6 gateway. |

Re: IPv6 beta - No longer being offered!? Hey, thought I'd sign up today for the beta, followed the instructions to post to the direct forum and this aft, I get back:
said by TSI_Chad : Hey there,
currently we are no longer offering the IPV6 Beta.
Regards, -- TSI_Chad
I guess I'm out of luck, huh!? Perhaps the title of this sticky post should be changed to BETA ENDED. I'm sure the number of customers wanting in on v6 can only be going up!
Thanks,

 | Beta has ended because IPv6 is now production. I received a /64 p2p and a /56 routed block with my new DSL connection. Time to go all in! -- Luminaire

Re: IPv6 beta Tried that too... The computer picks an IPv6 address, but still no access to V6 sites and 0/10 on ipv6 tests... |

That's the "regular regular" login realm instead of the still separate MLPPP login realm. Good. I've been prodding Marc about this for ages. What is the status of their Vancouver POP? Have they setup infrastructure especially through this relatively new portal for users to deal with reverse DNS? |

But a reboot is required and therefore it won't happen until someone is physically present. Good news is things are quite stable out here so no one's needed to come out for damage control. Bad news is we're waiting indefinitely with no end in sight. |

Re: IPv6 beta Is it possible to get ipv6 on cable in quebec ? |

brad join:2007-09-06 Etobicoke, ON | said by singerie3:Is it possible to get ipv6 on cable in quebec ? Not from TSI at the moment as they're dependent on Videotron (and Rogers / Shaw, etc.) to v6 enable their infrastructure and offer it to TPIA providers to allow their customers to have v6. Until that happens or TSI sets up a temp 6in4 gw for its customers until the cable co's kick things into gear then your best option is to have a 6in4 tunnel to Hurricane. |
|
 | yeah that's what i have now.
i know videotron will offer ipv6 beta to their customer, so i was wondering if they would offer it to reseller.
Thanks for the quick answer. |

Videotron's current trial is not native but actually using 6over4 unlike the other beta and trial's I'm aware of from Comcast/Time Warner/Rogers, etc. Comcast did briefly play with 6RD but dropped this for the proper implementation of dual-stack service. |

brad join:2007-09-06 Etobicoke, ON | reply to TSI Gabe If v6 service is actually available in a more or less production mode for customers via the Toronto POP it would be nice if TSI acknowledged it here and let us know what's going on. If this is so it would be nice to start documenting a typical setup for TSI for v6 for the handful of various routers currently available from Netgear / D-Link / Linksys and other vendors. |

In other news, Shaw is rolling out ipv6. At an office I do work for, they have a Shaw E100 connection with native v6.
Teksavvy is falling behind :/ -- Wondering what I do? Find out at »www.digitalcon.ca |

Teksavvy is falling behind :/ That's a business Ethernet connection, not a consumer cable connection. That changes the situation quite a bit. TSI has been able to provide v6 for various business connections (.e.g. T1, T3, Ethernet) for some time and already does provide transit for a few other ISPs. They are still behind when it comes to rolling out their production v6 for DSL-based connections. |

Also, what is this new portal you speak of? It let's us update reverse DNS? I think you're confused a bit. They've gotten rid of the separate login as part of the beta phase and it's now opt-in on the regular logins whether you're using MLPPP (wiredhighspeed) or not (teksavvy).
I'm referring to the portal TSI setup for customers to see info about their account and make some changes. I was simply suggesting that they should add a module to allow users to change the name servers for reverse DNS for their assigned v6 net block. |
