Once we're free from ISP discrimination against servers, the public will be able to realized the benefits of the end-to-end nature of the internet, where everyone can be a peer.

Also with big bandwidth in both directions, realtime video would become popular, and people would start using videophones instead of VOIP (one will be a client and one a server on a given occasion, but with fast symmetrical connections it might as well be either each time). And it would be nice to serve up files with secure ftp or vpn, from the home office to wherever I travel, and allow friends their own directories and so on.
