Re: how much?

yes, but you still only get 250GB/month. Which means, full blast (100/100), you run out of bandwith 3 hours after you billing cycle begins. You can run a business with 3 hours of internet access a month

Remember 1 in 4 people are retarded. 25% of Americans are Republican. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Re: how much?

are you retarded? why would both the upstream and downstream be saturated at 100 mbps? and you are wrong, you CAN'T run a business with 3 hours of internet access a month, but if you have comcast business, you have no cap!

Woah, calm down there buddy, no need to pop a vein over this. Anyways, I agree, Comcast isn't just going to let their customers have free rein over a 100/100, even if you are paying $500/month for it. I doubt the the cap will be as low as 250gb/month, but it'll be low enough that you might as well settle for a 10/* without a cap.

for the most part what people download will not change. it will just be fast. just because you have a fast speed does not mean you will starter downloading 10x more then you do know.

Ho ho ho, you're so funny. But you must be right. 640 kbit/s should be enough for anyone!

Re: how much?

Ummmm where do you get that from my or the previous person's post?

When you get to a certain speed, and in certain environments, adding more speed doesn't necessarily mean that people will download more...

.. think about it.. and thank you for proving our points.

You have no point. I believe you are a Comcast shill arguing for the "benefits" of the cap.

I have business class and a high speed connection and I download way MORE for content I PAY for. Legally.

Just because you actually do not use use what you pay for since you have no clue what you could BUY does not mean that many people do not.

Re: how much?

Pot meet kettle.. you clearly have no point there..

And I think it's pretty clear on this site that those that revert to calling other members "shills" have no point and take the pussyfooting way out of an argument or debate they know they can't win.

I graduated pre-school long ago.. enjoy having a conversation with yourself.

I've worked as a network engineer for ISP's for the last 14 years, ISP's that sell commercial circuits. I've never seen anyone with anything larger than a T1 saturating their circuits like you suggest with someone on a 100/100 connection running out of bandwidth.

I worked for an ISP that sold 100mbit Ethernet connections for $1000 a month, most people didn't use 10% of the link. The company I work for now sells 10, 50, 100, 1000mbit connections all day long, and no one even comes close to 50% of their capacity.

The only type of business that would use the bandwidth you suggest is a web hosting business or an ISP. And they are not going to run a connection off of a cable modem. Not to mention, the caps wouldn't apply to business modems.

Right now I work for an ISP that has 160Gigabits/sec to the Internet, and we are only at 45% utilization, and when we hit 50%, we begin the process of adding another 20gigs/sec so that we have enough bandwidth for failover.

If you're running an ISP or web host provider by saturating your links constantly, you're not quite #1 in customer satisfaction or retention.
