RE: Verizon Wireless Customers Most Loyal in the Industry

With $400 ETF's, number porting issues and phantom fees for cancelling, it's no wonder their customers are so loyal

A qualifier for the study or findings should be added - "loyal" up to now, that is.

Oh, not to mention that ever shrinking NE2 program credit and the VIP program which expired 2/28/2010 for many customers on higher price plan tiers.

Nowadays, the only thing that we are loyal to is being smart with the wallet (checking book or debit card payment, etc. or paying cash for our bills) first and accordingly with the smart (wireless) phone - let's see how the dumb customers vote on the loyality with VZW in a year or two from now - especially if the economy remain on a roller coaster ride & job market prospects do not get better with those out of work ....

Corporate greed never amazes me - has its origin traced partially on Wall Street perhaps, but it's definitely up Water Street in downtown NYC (where VZ has its corporate presence)

I have 3 lines on a family share plan. Only 1, the main number, has data. The 2 shared lines pay $9.99/ month for voice. This Dumb-ass move requiting a data plan on any nicer phones will effectively double the cost of the shared lines.

When it is time to renew, I am looking elsewhere.

The fat ETF's, nonsense fees and the locked CDMA phones that you pay a bundle for (the nicer ones atleast) and cannot simply pull out SIM card and use on another carrier add to the reason why most folks just don't bother.
