Apparently the channel bonding is a huge plus. That would be why its worth getting a new modem.

But finally..they're breaking the 2 Mbps upload barrier that they've had with all their DOCSIS 2.0 configs. If you can get 25/3 on a DOCSIS 2.0 modem, that would be clutch. I live in a DOCSIS 3.0, 60/5 area so there's no point in getting 25/3 if I were to get a 3.0 modem.
