| SEVEN years with Vonage... and saving $$$ Hey Folks,
This Sunday will be my 7th anniversary with Vonage. I got rid of POTS and switched solely to Vonage on 3-7-03 and never looked back, bringing nine of my friends/relatives along for the ride as Vonage referrals... some of whom are going on their 6th year themselves!!! I can't imagine all the moolah I've saved from Verizon/AT&T over those years. Couldn't be happier... and now here's to another 7 years... and more! -- 1/20/09 = The final day of our Retarded Cowboy President! |

Dang - you beat me - just checked my billing history and my first bill was 3/28/2003
Learned alot over the years and now have a home network that fully protects my Vonage lines (yes two lines) so no matter what is going on in my network (video, downloads, netflix streaming, work, games, etc) my Voice lines are rock solid and high quality. I even have an app for my iPhone now - unlimited calls from the iPhone with no per minute charges - who would have thought......
I agree - I could not be happier.
My how things have changed - look at my first statement:

 | reply to mahermusic You've got one year on me. I switched to Vonage in Feb 2004, and have had very few problems. I have had two lines, used a toll free add-on, switched from "unlimited" to regular (500min/mo) plan and back again, and then back again. I can send faxes without a hitch when I need to, and the savings are great. My only initial problem was porting my number from BellSouth. If I had known it would be such a hassle I would have just ditched my old number and gotten a new one. After BellSouth stalled me for 3 months, I finally got in touch with a customer service rep and found out the hangup: there was a pending order, so they could not port my number. The "pending order"? The port request, of course! |

 | Yeah, it was amazing how many people got mad at Vonage because their old phone companies dragged their feet. I know most of it was just frustration but did they honestly think that Vonage was the hold up? -- Vonage user since Mar 2004. |

Then I was on the 500 minute plan for a long while, but switched back to the unlimited plan last year. The international calling sold me b/c I call the UK and Australia alot now. |
