What squirrel said - you would need a similar one that they use with an integrated EMTA (Embedded Multimedia Terminal Adapter).

The two units I have seen used are the Arris TM502G and the Arris TM402P.

I called Bresnan and the person told me I could not use my own modem even if it was the same model of the modem that Bresnan used. He said it had something to do with the digital phone service. I was wondering if anyone else had both services and used their own modem.
