You won't "find" it, it'll be on /dev/ttyS0 (COM1, 03F8-03FF, IRQ4) I believe.

Just point your application to /dev/ttyS0

He might "find" it if the init scripts do something like "ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/modem" since that is where most programs look by default.
