| Okay, wow, they weren't lieing, this time. If you read my reviews of Charter, you'll see that I'm not fan.
I got an email earlier this week telling me that I should upgrade my modem to DOCSIS 3.0 compliant modem to take advantage of Charter's new speeds. I was highly skeptical, but at least the announcement also stated that I could use my own modem instead of paying them $5/month.
After a little research, I found that a DOCSIS 3.0 modem may be helpful for decreasing latency, which would be nice with my VoIP phone and Xbox LIVE! services, so I ordered one up.
Well, I haven't gotten my modem yet, but I just powercycled my modem and using uberbandwidth.com here are the before and after results:
