Re: Considering getting oOma to replace MJ

The guys who make STP Oil Treatment used to say something like "This product will not fix mechanical defects in your car".

Same here.

No Voip provider will work well with a poor broadband connection.

(CallCentric and some others may do a better job at getting through Ice Princess routers. But again, NO provider will overcome a bad connection).

Having said that, SOME providers may make things even worse---and sometimes MJ may be one of them.

But why not test your connection at both of these sites:

Good results won't guarantee a good Voip experience, BUT bad results WILL guarantee a BAD experience.

Along those lines, to which site would you do the tests or does it make any difference ?

Where is the closest one to MJ's headquarters, that is where is MJ located ?

thanks,
hex

I'd do the tests to a location near to you.

You are not necessarily seeking to generate a bad result. Rather, you want to see IF your system can generate a GOOD result!

If you can't get a GOOD result to a nearby location, then you will not get a good result anywhere!

As for MJ, they have many, many points of presence through their YMAX CLEC.
