Most of them look like this, if you're lucky:

BTW -- that setup in the video is the lab in the CRS Business Unit building, it's building 16 on the San Jose campus. |

I need you to tell me what port A-345 is on. I need it in the next hour.
Thanks.

I've had years of literal hands on experience with Cisco hardware and it is TOTAL CRAP, All of it assembled in some turd world country. -- "Our network engineers are aware of the problem..." |

Messy because they are installed by "low bid" contractors and designed by engineers who never lay hands on the hardware. I've had years of literal hands on experience with Cisco hardware and it is TOTAL CRAP, All of it assembled in some turd world country. Tell me about it. Cisco doesn't design anything with too much consideration to installation/maintenance.
They have DC powered equipment with inputs wherever they feel like it (AC too, but most everything destined for a CO has the power in the back), and fiber inputs, as well.
I don't know what's so hard about putting power on the back, and network connections on the front. That, and maybe some serious consideration to tie downs/cable management (not just some here or there). I guess that's too much to ask, especially when I have to call someone in India, for support.
It makes me wonder what they do with all of that money they charge. They must go crazy on R&D, advertising, and executive pay. |
