Re: Need to upgrade old system Your power supply should be enough, i think u hit the right word and that it should be a "decent" gaming machine.
Anything higher than a 5770 your cpu might be a bottleneck.

| I can get another stable 200 Mhz out of this cpu by pushing to 3.6 Ghz, not that it will make it that much faster. I'll just have to get an Core i5 750 soon, its just a pain to upgrade the motherboard and memory just for the CPU. |

kudos:1 | Well you can go i5 and new MB and just keep the DDR 2 800 and add another 4GB for 8GB total, that is a cheap way to upgrade until you can afford DDR3 1066-1600 memory.
Yeah for now get the 5770, or if you can find it a lot cheaper the GT250 ($20 less isn't enough) |
