1 edit | TWC - Don't forget about L.A. No DOCSYS 3.0 that I know about in my parts (West San Fernando Valley). They've been showing ads locally that say we've "increased our speeds for no added fees." I have no idea what they're talking about, since my speeds are still around 3 3mbps down, although upload speeds have increased marginally. |

I'm not going to pay $25 extra to get 50Mbps service.

The increased the standard sub to 10/1 and the Turbo one to 15/2. The lite is still either 3 or 5 Mbps. In any case, it has taken them THREE YEARS since the first 15/2's were released to finally update everyone to those new speeds.
I don't expect TWC in SoCal to do anything soon, they have been slowing down with deployments since they took over Adelphia, and quality in the socal area has gone down tremendously over the last 2 years or so.
@en102: The 30 Mb is probably due to powerboost, that won't be your sustained speed. -- "I reject your reality and substitute my own!" |

en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | I agree that its mostly (or all) power boost. I currently don't even need more than the 10/1 that's offered. -- Canada = Hollywood North |
