Not so with Internet, it needs to be delivered to your house accross a cable (although some areas are experimenting with cheaper WiMax solutions, its not all that much faster then a decent DSL line), and thus the competition is a lot less.
TWC is doing a "surgical rollout", which basically means that you are out of luck of your competition is 3 Mbps / 786 Kbps DSL. (Or worse, 1.5/384)
