Agreed. Some types of games are relatively insensitive to latency between inputs and seeing a response to those inputs on-screen. But many (e.g. shooters, driving, music/rhythm games) don't tolerate it so well. Heck, I have seen people choose their gaming TVs/monitors on the basis of input lag -- and I imagine the differences there are probably in the single-digit milliseconds. My internet connection has an order of magnitude higher latency than that. |
