I actually went down to my car, where I have an AC outlet and plugged in the laptop and worked on some images there. Such dedication! ;->

Now I have to go through the fridge and throw out the food. =(
Glad to hear you weren't washed away. I was beginning to wonder about all our East Coast dslr family, not to many have posted in two or three days.
Thanks, badd and KittyMom. I'd imagine that a lot of people in NJ either lost power or are/were dealing with flooded basements, wind damage, downed trees, etc.

According to the news, there's still roughly about 175,000 people in the state without power. Rain totals were in the 5"-7" range. Some towns are still flooded, not all of the rivers have crested yet. Trees and power poles are still falling because the ground is super-saturated.

My power went out about 6pm Saturday and came back on about 1am this morning (Monday), though the furnaces were still off this morning, so no heat or hot water. Those are now back on, thankfully. When I called PSE&G to report the outage on Saturday, I was told to expect resumption of power on Tuesday, so at least they got it back a little sooner.

Still have to boil water before using it, and fast-food places can't serve drinks that use water, by order of the town.

Still raining here, but they don't expect high rainfal totals.

I guess if there is any good news in all of that, it is that the 5" - 7" of precipitation was rain and not snow. I think an inch of rain is equal to about 10 inches of snow!! Yikes!!

That would have been cool to see in a perverse sort of way. I'm on the second floor, so I'd still be able to see out the windows - lol. But it would totally cripple the area; there'd be no place to put all that snow.

One thing good about no longer working full-time, is that when there's a heavy snow I don't always have to rush out to dig out the car if I'm not scheduled to be somewhere; sometimes I just let the sun melt off the snow for a few days.

I finally made it! I've missed playing around but have been doing my own laying right here at home. Here's a little start for my rendering though.

Looks as if I almost missed this thread completely. So few renditions are not my norm. That's what happens when I get busy with other things...such as being out taking pictures instead of rendering them. Oh, well, never say die, and I didn't. Before going on to the next thread, here's a little more fun I had.

Yes. I worked on a lot but just didn't get them posted till now.
