Re: logging in to forums etc.. Make sure you arent clearing cookies when you exit..
The Firefox xMarks add-on can also remember passwords for you, as well as sync your bookmarks/passwords between computers (it's awesome)..

Mobile, AL | I'm also old so won't hold that against you!  If you're running any software like CCleaner or Ace Utilities, make sure that you have selected the "Ignore" under each cookie that you DON'T want to clean out. That way, it will always be there.
