| RE: FCC Suggests Federal Approach To Taxing Online Only problem with the FCC plan about having a unified tax structure online is that ALL states and ALL purchases online will be getting you for State Sales Taxes. So it may simplify the burden on companies dealing with different states and their tax laws, but all those purchases you make online now from Amazon and other online firms will NOW be taxed, which you could avoid before. Maybe that is how the FCC will get congresscritters from all the states to buy in to their broadband plan and approve new laws to implement it.

There's no justifiable reason for paying a sales tax on purchases made outside of your state... except, of course, for your home state's belief in its God-given right to tax everything that moves. |

Especially since this "stupid" person pays more than one third of their income in taxes already, and some states like NY are considering holding tax refunds because they have no money.
