Re: Give Me These things make noise, generate heat and have fans blowing to kick said heat out.
here at most we get a 10" by 12" box for cable, and it is a solid state one. meaning nobody has to come and play with it ever and no noise etc.
the vrads and other boxes are offsite by the main road in a big hive and there is an att truck working there 20 hours a day. how would you like to have 1 parked in your driveway daily?
but hey, go take your 1500$ |

| It would depend very much on the property I had at the time Thing is, I would probably never be in that situation. The reason? I don't live in an AT&T area, and never intend to do so. I'm not suer how big Qwest's VRADs are but if they're fridge-sized it would be hard to place one in front of my apartment. Possible, yes, but I don't think there would be enough space. Besides, there's a nice open ROW a block down that's much more easily accessible Last but not least, I live (not go to school) in a town that's served by Verizon, and won't get sold to AT&T...ever (maybe Windstream though). A CLEC is overbuilding fiber because Verizon won't, so even if the telco did decide to do VDSL they'd be eclipsed speed-wise before placing the first VRAD. |

 Qwest VRAD circled in red.
