Re: What about backyards???

In my last neighborhood that was built in the 90s, everything was in the backyards (electricity boxes, cable boxes, etc) and underground or at the entrace to the subdivision along the road with no houses.
In my neighborhood before that was built in the 70s. Everything was above ground wires behind everyones backyards and all the boxes were behind their backyards.
In my grandparents neighborhood built in the 30s/40s all the above ground wiring for power and all boxes are behind everyones backyards.
In all the neighborhoods everyone has pools. Even pools right next to the property line near the power lines. Even pools right under the powerline drop from the pool to their house.

The only time I have seen powerlines in someones front yard were in cases of very old major road where houses were built on large plots of land off these roads instead of in a subdivision. Their driveways exit right onto the major road. In all of those cases the houses are pretty far back from the road.

In residential neighborhoods it makes no sense to put anything in someones front yard.
