Re: Taxpayer funding??

That is like the attitude of roads from someone who lives in a city and walks everywhere. They feel they should not pay for roads because they do not use them.

You might not want to use the internet, but making available high speed internet access to everyone helps commerce.

I have no problem if our tax dollars goes to expand fiber internet coverage, but if it does there has to be strict rules protecting unlimited and unrestricted internet.
If an ISP can't agree to that they should not get any of our tax dollars.

I want to use the internet, I'm on it all the time, it is my life, I just don't want any of Verizon's highly overrated services in my home. If Verizon wants to expand their Fios footprint, it should be on their dime not the taxpayers. It's not like they can't afford it. It would be just like that sleezy company to milk taxpayer money though.
