| 7008ABR with 4-Port 2Wire as the modem I've been using the 8-port 7008ABR for quite some time. I love it. I've used it in conjunction with an Alcatel DSL modem. I keep losing my connection. I'm can often (but not always) get the connection back by power cycling the modem. Sometimes I have to power cycle both the modem and the router. I'm wondering if the modem, the router, or both are failing.
I have access to a 4-port 2Wire modem/router. Can I use this 2Wire device as the modem and still connect it to my existing 7008ABR so I have that as my 8-port router? The 2Wire is a known good device.
