Re: Massive Slowdowns?

yes they do offer 3 meg because i can get it at my house, and for most customers in Montana they only offer the 1.5 and 3. I haven't seen anyone with 7, 12, or 20 in Montana since the 12 and 20 only comes with their new "fiber" lines which they have not brought to MT yet.

I find it funny that the max speed I can get with Qwest is 5mbps when my parents (in Miles City) can get 7mbps. I was like "WTH??"

I had Qwests' 7mbps service (by Pioneer Park) coupled with my Cisco 678 and the darn thing NEVER went down, except when a main transformer blew in Billings in 2005.

Now, I've got Bresnan's with a decent 12-15mbps download and always 1mbps upload. I torrented a huge file and monitored my Cacti server to check my rates.

I have 7 meg Qwest in Great Falls at both my home and office. You need to be close enough to downtown to get it.
