 | How to install a Arescom MSN modem with Qwest service I got Qwest internet service at home and was trying to install this Arescom NetDSL 800 modem which is one of the modems on the qwest website.
I plugged in the DSL cable to the modem and the "Link" light is solid green which indicates good DSL connection according to the manual. So I connected the modem with my computer through a ethernet cable. I typed in the link 192.168.1.1 in my browser, the MSN webpage for the modem information popped up and everything looks ok. However I inserted the CD that came with the modem, it just can't detect the modem. I also tried the quick connect CD Qwest sent to me, still can't get past even %5 and it asked if the modem was connected to the computer correctly.
Did I do something wrong or this modem can't be used with Qwest at all? |
