Vonage took the charge off and is sending a return slip for their equipment. I have canceled that credit card and am awaiting a replacement. Kind of strange that there was only that one bogus charge from Vonage though.

Hard to figure. Could be that someone did that, hoping to take the box from your porch or where-ever, before you got it. Then they could use the equipment and make a bunch of international calls before reaching a monthly cap--- and if someone didn't notice the charge on their credit card, the crooks could make calls for weeks or months. They would use an internet proxy to avoid being tracked.
