Had to go to a Visa because in order to pay a simple bill I had to get a prepaid debit card since their system refused to process my payment.
Three months later I paid my bill over the phone using the same rejected MasterCard. Two days later I tried to pay an install charge on another service address and guess what - it again doesn't take the credit card. Bank says its Charter's fault as well.
Far as keeping an eye on the bill isn't that the main reason for Auto-Pay? It takes care of that for me. Secondly in any other case I get the nice auto-caller 'Taylor from Charter Communications' reminding me to contact customer service. I get a disconnect notice in the mail. That time - nothing. One day there's just no service.
Just never make the mistake of turning down the paper bill over their preferred electronic system. I sure won't.
