Based on the trace route, are you off site, trying to ping an IP address that is connected with the DSL line?
I also noticed you posted @ 2:47am Local time, which is inside the maintenance window (1am - 5am local time).
It is possible Level3 was doing work on their network, which could be why your trace route dropped on their network. or those hops are not responding to ICMP traffic
Does that location still not have connectivity as of 9:30am EDT?--
