Hey, no problem. Skybeam shouldn't be all that bad because they seem to try and route traffic through JAB's Denver headquarters anyway.

There you go. I tried to get you results from all over the United States. I am really surprised at the low latency to the ISP gateway. 8ms? That's great. I used to get 20-150ms. California and Utah traffic seem to be the most retarded routes.

Notice that they now peer up with Qwest, instead of L3. This is probably due to the Skybeam, Jab Wireless merger.

Looks like Qwest is preferred, but Level3 is in there as well. See

It actually looks like Qwest is responsible for the rather sucky routing; "slc" stands for Salt Lake City on your traceroute's 4th hop. I traced to Salt Lake City on Level3 just now to your second hop via Comcast...

I'm guessing that Qwest DSL would actually have inferior routing to what you're getting on Digis FWIW. Also, last I checked Skybeam routed through Data102 (Level3 + TW Telecom + Cogent). But that was about two and a half months ago. Now it looks loks the mix is toward Qwest + Cogent??? Their routing changes like underwear...
