Re: major announcment???

I thought every carrier was required or voluntarily agreed to a 30 day money-back trial period. It was spurred by the threat of legislation because of too many complaints to the Feds from customers who got locked into a 2 year agreement before they discovered the carrier had crappy coverage and they had to hang out a window to make a call from their home.

If you look at the little chart you'll see they all do offer 30 day trial periods. The only thing Sprint is doing in addition is to refund your service charges for the portion of the month you used. The others don't do that... you still have to pay for the portion of the month you used.

So I think it's a little misleading to say "Sprint is the only one". They are the only one offering a full money-back guarantee so that you'll have zero dollars out of pocket if you cancel before 30 days. But the others do allow you to cancel, and require you to pay for the service you actually used.

Actually looking at the chart, it appears that t-mobile only gives you 20 days to cancel (except in California).
