| I think Verizon's network will strain somewhat if they deploy a CDMA iPhone, but the backlash will be nothing like it was with AT&T for a couple reasons
1. On Verizon's network voice and data are separate, remember you can't do both at once on Verizon, well that also means that thousands of iPhone users can't screw up your voice call. 2. While in populated areas AT&T's data network currently beats Verizon's hands down in data speed, the difference the average user will see between browsing the web at 1.4mbit/s and 800kbit/s won't be anywhere near as obvious as the pain of surfing the web on edge.
If available my hope would be that the Verizon iPhone is LTE/CDMA so when the LTE network is available it can move instantly to the faster network, where the data strain will be easier to handle |
