they are doing well. 2 1/2 games behind the Yankees? all they really need to do is to get into 2nd place and stay there to make the playoffs.

Need to take 2/3 against Tampa. I haven't scouted any of their games yet beyond box scores.
Mets game was good last night, I didn't have to listen to New Yawkahs bitch about no games shown locally here. (I hear it AT LEAST once a week. "Why ain't they no Noo Yawk games on yo Tee Vee here?" Sister Mary had the best answer last season "For the love of God man, look at the map, we're in Massachusetts!")

A day off now, then away Bal and Cle, need 5/6. This split .500 stuff is NOT good!

May was 18/29 for a .620 average.
Last 2 weeks in May was 10/14 for .714 average.
Last 2 week was 11/14 .786 highest avg. in American League.

I feel better now.

While pitching the Red Sox to a 3-2 victory over the Indians, Wakefield picked up that impressive milestone along the way, surpassing Roger Clemens.

The record-setting out was a popup off the bat of Russell Branyan in the seventh that put Wakefield at 2,776 1/3 innings in a Boston uniform. The win was No. 191 of his career, with 177 of those coming for Boston. Read Story
