Re: Challenge: 50 MM shots only

I'm going to shoot this wedding tomorrow with just a 50mm f/1.4. Let's see how this goes

I read that a 50 can be good to shoot a wedding. Let us know how it goes.

Well shooting a wedding with a 24-70 is definitely not unheard of but I hope for your sake that you are kidding

I shoot 99% of my weddings with just a 35mm and 85mm prime. The 50 will fit in the middle nicely

Well, just do not go out of the way for this challenge, there is NOTHING like an angry bride.

I find the 50mm is my prime (Pardon the pun) weapon for weddings. And lordy a nice 24-70mm L would be my second. Followed by a 12-24 for creative shots, and of course a 70-200mm L for some outdoor portraits and stuff.

OK OK OK So I'm packing the kitchen sink... Dammmit when will this rain here STOP so I can get out and shoot!

Given that you are in Quebec, tomorrow probably Stopped late yesterday here and it is bright and sunny, but cold, today.

Yes, many of us would like a nice 24-70mm L and...well, just about any L

Future Wine
Took a few (90 or so total shots) yesterday and today. These are the ones I liked.

Are those grape vines in the last one? Are they grapes for wine? Winner of "best content" if so

I have a few from the weekend to get processed today. I may also get outside today to get some more outdoor shots.

Yep! There's a private vineyard about a 5 minute walk from my house. Unfortunately it's not open to the public, and this was as close as I could get. Dang fences and barbed wire. I have one more from the vineyard on my flickr: »www.flickr.com/photos/brianlance/4512196284/

I'm not particularly "wowed" by these, but they're the best out of my few shots I took during my orientation "brunch" outing this AM.
