Yes the government does not do efficient things like mergers and acquisitions of companies that have no reason to go together: Sprint/Nextel, AOL/TimeWarner, or Chrysler/Gulfstream. Nor do we do things like good very long range planning. Say the planning for full fiberoptic buildout of all networks vs. making Verizon shareholders happy over 2 years by not building out ALL networks. You would not want to make 10 times as much 20 years in the future. That would be more "wasteful". | |

There is a difference when those running a company have to please investors instead of pissing off tax payers. | |
