Gladstone, IL | sb5120 and gigE nic Hello All,
Has anyone experienced negotiation problems with an Motorola SB5120 and a direct connection from a PC with an (Broadcom 5751 on board) /gigE nic?
This is on a Linux server and I did force the nic down to 10mb,,,just to try,and still no work.
Strange thing,,,when I plug in the cat 5 cable to the sb5120 I never get what should be a solid activity light. The activity light is not lit at all untill I try and activate the nic. The ip adress /dhcp tries but never gets an ip. I even Wiresharked the negotiation,,and I cant not figure how/what is failiing?
The ISP,,goes strictly by the modem mac as I read it?
