Sprint may not drop to 3rd in 4 yrs

If Sprint can keep rolling out their Wimax network and their existing deals with the cable companies garner more users, Sprint may see their data traffic hold the number 2 spot.

Although if they measure just '3G' usage, Sprint's may actually go down since a portion would be offloaded to WiMAX as some users migrate.

Looks like Clearwire just might pull of rolling out WiMAX as schedule if not beat the schedule. Kansas City was announced to get WiMAX later this year but now they are saying "early" this summer. Some parts of the metro are already up and running, unofficially available.

Am thinking of switch from Pre to Evo if WiMAX is live at my place. Is up and running where I work already.

Me too. But only if the monthly data everything 450 plan stays the same cost. Wimax in many areas around me - but not everywhere and 4G wouldn't be worth the extra cost. But that EVO smartphone looks real good.
