So im thinking of moving my business over to there and warframe for the time being.

Happy gaming!(:

I'v been pushing to make this game work for a few days now.. Yes the game is fun and yes there are just a few small issues but thats only at the beginning before the real fun begins. I just now made it to 2nd or 3rd planet and about the 6th area and gameplay is a disaster.

When you join a area that no ones currently already in, you begin to be host.. whoever joins an area thats empty first is host. I just now joined one area and everyone that joined started complaining about the massive lag within seconds. I even saw some glitches on my side when opening lockers that hold items and if say someone with great connection hosts then I get all the lag but i see hick ups where the enemies will completely stand still and not do anything (same as players, or even disappear) hell i can possibly lag right on by every single enemy and they would'nt expect a thing and i would beat the game this way. (same thing as using a hacker but i don't use hacks)

I dont think its possible for me to continue anymore... at this point of the game i am currently at, it is just far too hard i can easily make over 50 or even 100 deaths all in the same area and same little spott where a group of enemies are at and it does'nt even have to be very big one neither. The enemies that i am defeating off at this part of the game will latch onto your character and bring you to the enemy (while bringing health down in the proccess) its just like diablo 3.. every now and then i get disconnected and game has to reconnect but before i even get connection back i could be dead already.. The part where the enemies grab a hold of your character is my biggest issue now and if there are MOE then ONE of those enemies in the group then it could be a complete disastor where multiple of those are grabbing on my charcter and my character getting drug from one corner to the next and so one (while the lag is visible) and you will be just sitting there thinking WTF im not even touching my keyboard or mouse.

oh and torchlight 2 online has been flawless lately.
--
HT1000/ BeamID 32/ Power Max plan/ 4 pcs on a D-Link wired switch/ wireless D-Link router with password

Support only the gaming company's that matter the most, pay for something that actually is worth buying or has a good reason for how much it's worth.

They also have added much better physics to the game so it's much harder to get stuck on some random rock or rubble. The input lag makes the game harder especially when trying to maneuver an agile tank, but I still find it quite fun.

The reason why your moving so fast is because the game server your playing on can't keep up with your lag, your just too laggy.

I played crysis 3 on launch day and other players thought that i was using a trainer.. I have 1 question. How can I be cheating on a game that just launched?? tell me HOW?! League of Legends and Runes of Magic also work, but LoL is hard enough without the input lag and RoM just doesn't hold my attention. I attached an image from two different tests showing my ping in the high 600s. Normally, it's in the 700s, but it's close enough.
anon posted : Reading the people saying that certain MMOs work just fine... that is complete BS. The best you can hope to do is log in a game and stand around and talk. Many times that doesn't even work. Maybe HughesNet can be somewhat effective with just social MMOs or something. But even then, games like Second Life are continually streaming something and it just eats up your allowance.

Trying to play an MMORPG like Perfect World (which is an older and less demanding game), I got totally destroyed in anything I tried to do. Timing is just so terribly impossible with the latency that you can not react to anything fast enough to make your gaming enjoyable. I actually gave up trying the satellite and used dial up with Perfect World and it was far more playable than with HughesNet.

To top it off, lately HughesNet is just constantly losing signal or something. As of fall 2012 Hughesnet is launching Gen4. They come out swap your hardware (Modem and Dish) And it fixes all of this youll be able to play online Via Xbox live, Playstion Network PC or whatever you guys play. It only costs depending on your plan which for us its an extra 10 bux a month cause were not buying the equipment were renting it from them. But from what they say you on there original plans they have such a high setting cause of where your signal goes. Gen4 rapidally sends it plus the download and upload speed is mulitpled by 5 too 10 times what your plan has lowering the signal of ping making it better for online gaming.

Like lets say you have basic plan your upload and download should be 1.0mbps which is the same has time warner roadrunner basic I think. And your ping is around lets say 1400. Gen4 basic is 12.0mbps to 15.8mpbs for upload and download resaulting your ping down to 50 which isnt to bad for xbox live cause there servers setting is around 37ms for their ping.

Hope this helps guys. Do what I did and switch to Gen4

And oh yeah almost forgot if you experiance on xbox live that ppl can hardly hear you cause your breaking out you go to your dashboard and go to network settings go to advanced and go to where it says manuly enter dns address for primary put 8.8.8.8 for secondary put 8.8.4.4 thats googles public server it actually fixes that a little bit and also fixes your connection a little bit

Any more questions just shoot me an email at acheivement.unlocked@hotmail.com thats actually how its spelled no lie.
Finn posted : These have all been tested during "Free time", early in the morning, and noonish. Those appear to be the best times to play games on Hughesnet. Around 8-11PM CST appears the be the worst time to play. I also try out all these with turbo page disabled and enabled, but disabled appears to work the best.

World of Tanks works. It has a heavy input lag, but it is playable if you can get used to the lag. Apparently there is some kind of lag compensation that kind of makes the playing field even more or less, even so you'll have a hard time hitting the more agile tanks. For some reason log in can take a long time, I've noticed that using the ipconfig /flushdns before you log in seems to speed up the login process.

Flyff works. Moderate input lag. Game randomly disconnects sometimes, and I'm unable to log in between 8-10 PM CST.

Runes of Magic works, patches are usually big downloads though so it's best to patch during "Free time". Little input lag, much snappier than other MMOs on Hughesnet.

League of Legends works, the input lag is more annoying than usual, be prepared to issue commands twice.

Runescape works okay, just wouldn't PvP in the wilderness if I was you. Like any other game on Hughesnet, there is an input lag, but it didn't bother me much because I used to play Rs on dialup all the time.

GunZ will connect to games, but is unplayable. You may register hits on your end but you won't actually be hitting anyone. That and people whine about your ping.

Dragon Nest works, and is kind of playable, becomes very difficult at higher levels. While on your end you might dodge an attack, the server will still register a hit on you. Makes some bosses harder than they actually are.

Soldat kind of works, but overall is unplayable. Most servers will kickban you if your ping goes over a set amount. You might be able to play on "climb" servers but the lag might make it look like you're using a hack. Was playable on Dialup so I thought I'd try on Hughesnet.

I tried Minecraft on the 360 and I wasn't able to connect to anyone, and no one was able to connect to me. I tried with 3 different people and results were the same. Minecraft over Xbox Live seems unplayable to me.

Battlefield Heroes doesn't appear to work. It'll search for a game and say it found one, after a minute it'll say connection lost.

APB Reloaded connects, but "rubber bands" too much to be playable. I played it for about an hour before giving up. I was constantly bumping into objects and running into walls and being killed before I could tell I was even being shot at. Unplayable.

I'll add more games when I can.
