Re: [BC] Telus is blocking yourfilehost videos from loading

I just released my IP and renewed it and have a 207.216.252.* IP now. Still no problem viewing the video.

Not sure what's up with your connections.

Try this link: »cdn.yourfilehost.com/raw/files17···dff8c326

That's the link it gives when I click the download original file.

Telus IP of 66.183.*.*.

And I get... "403 - Forbidden" ...with that link from the yourfilehost.com site.

I get 403, forbidden. Even when I try to download the video on my dedicated host. Through your link, or one generated by myself.

A google search shows this has happened to other ISPS, many different ones, and their only fix was to use a proxy... Seems like yourfilehost doesnt answer or respond to E-mails at all either!

Oh well. I dont ever use the site really, so I don't care. Was just curious why it was happening, must be a server config problem.

403 is an internal server response to an HTTP request. it has nothing to do with TELUS, unless they've IP banned by IP range.

403 Forbidden is a HTTP status code returned by a web server when a user agent requests a resource that the server does not allow them to.

On solution is to use a proxy, or a VPN.

You could try to contact Telus... but since it's a problem with Yourfilehost and not Telus, theres not much they can do.

I have some news for anyone who is still having an issue with this site. I represent a small wireless ISP in Alberta, and this issue was brought to my attention by a client of ours. I have been working with both Telus(who provides our backbone fiber) and the Sites Technical support people independently. Both sides found the same source of the problem. There is a Telus Router that in incorrectly forwarding our Source IP info so it is showing up wrong on the Sites end. This is resulting in the site blocking access to the videos.
The Sites technical people worked with me and have found a way to get correct information, and should have it implemented shortly.
Telus is also working to correct the routing issue on their end
