Re: Just follow Comcast's lead

While they may not have an HD lineup on their programming guide, I dunno.. you could put your zipcode in there, like my hometown zip of 95404, into the TV guide listings, and then select HD programming to see a list of channels.

You could also CALL comcast and ask them to mail one out to you.. or if you're really interested, you can sit there on the phone and let them read every single network available to you.

The web, while convenient, is NOT the end-all source of information.. its just ONE avenue.

Tell me something.. California, being I grew up there and lived there for 30 years of my life in No Cal in the Bay area and Valley, is very well known for high-wind storms.. If you always take the same way home from work every day, and a tree has fallen down and blocked your lane, do you sit there and wait for someone to clear the road? ... or do you take a different route?

I don't know about you, but I'll try every avenue possible before I run out of options and THEN I feel my choices or options have been exhausted.. to do anything otherwise is simply lazy and makes one helpless in life.

Same rule applies in all aspects of life. I seriously think you like being a victim.

I *did* put in my home address and that's the message that came up.

Again, another example of you not paying attention or even reading, I'm guessing.

I didn't say "channel lineup" did I? I DO believe I said "programming guide"... you have to be blind to miss it.. right on the home page, no navigation needed, you'll see a zip code box to put your zip code in for "what's on TV now"...

You ask for a channel lineup right here: »Re: All providers should back their numbers up

And then when *I* can't pull it up, you change your story. Typical cable industry shill.

ooookay...? And your point? sigh

Look.. Santa Rosa obviously doesn't have a line up online at this time.. so, one system out of thousands across the country that DO have a line up available "online" I might add, invalidates my point?

Even then, the line up is still available.. it just, for you, isn't online.

Let me correctly quote this for the sake of this thread:

"All providers should back their numbers up"

They do - it's called a channel lineup.
Where did I say "online".. I said simply put, "it's called a channel lineup"

Why did you read into, and put words into my mouth, that if it's not online, it don't exist?

Again, you get it wrong, and your only defense it to play the "typical cable shill" card.. and even then, you STILL got it wrong! I laugh so hard right now my sides ache.

Now you're just arguing semantics.

Not having a channel lineup online is no excuse for a huge cable company when there are 3 other TV providers (Dish, DirecTV, U-Verse).

There is no point in arguing with this guy that I believe clearly is a shill. Look at the long ranting posts always defending the cable industry, what normal person would ever do that ?

I'm not arguing semantics one bit!

I made a broad statement with no specific meaning... you, on the other hand, made it about it not being available to you online. There is a MAJOR difference.

The internet is NOT the end-all source of information. If YOU and anyone else wants to depend solely on the internet, that's your mistake to make.

So, really, what it boils down to, and its 100% perfectly clear, is you hate Comcast as a major corporation, and this is just one little point for you to focus on and bitch about.

Sorry, its not about semantics at-all. I simply said "line up" and you said "it's not available online"... and YOU want to call semantics. Sorry, I'm smarter than that.
