Re: It can always be worse. Maybe, but another idea is to do away with the 2 for 1 vote in national elections. I think its okay to have a Prez from one party and the Vice Prez from the other. I've seen it work quite well in a couple of states I lived in. I think the idea that a party platform is handed down from god is absurd.
If you are only willing to vote "your" conscience, then stay out of Congress. Go sit in a corner, suck your thumb and leave the rest of us alone.
