Verizon Gains 185k FiOS Users, Loses 95k DSL Users

I switched from Verizon DSL to FIOS, since my landline lost so many packets that my VPN connection would disconnect after from 30 second to three hours. The FIOS TV is not available since Cablevision is playing hardball. If you drop Cablevision they com around and offer you their triple pay for $50.00 per month for a year. With the average connection costs of $1200.00 per FIOS customer and the customer paying a termination fee of $360.00 Verizon has dug itself a big hole. Cablevision itself is dropping analog channels and its HDTV picture not so good because of compression and its fees keep going up. HD on Cablevision is not free, they charge you for the remote, the HD box and the channel guide. I can understand why Verizon is charging for early termination, but does its costs structure make sense.
