This isn't entirely broadband related, but I'm hoping someone here might have some input. Recently on my commercial bill from Frontier I've started seeing $4.31 fees of 'Multi-Line Business Federal Pre-Subscribed Line Charge' for every analog line I have.
I found that, but wasn't sure that that was exactly what was on the bill because of the 'Interexchange' part. It might be the same thing. Man, $200 of fees on-top of what was already there. Time to look for something else me thinkst.
So according to this, it's costing Frontier more than $30/month*35 lines (paid for the past 5+ years) to run the copper to my building? I'm finding that hard to believe:
To the extent an incumbent local telephone company does not recover all of its local loop costs through the subscriber line charge, it may still assess a Presubscribed Interexchange Carrier Charge for each multi-line business telephone line presubscribed to the subscribers long distance company.
