This company..

This company is really a piece of work. Just when I thought the previous news stories about them could not get any worse, it does. I can't wait to see what our Maine regulators do to them.

Unfortunately what choice do regulators have? If they accept the deal, they look like they made a mistake in approving it. If they reject it, what recourse do regulators have? They can't fine them, as they have no money. They can't legally compel them to deploy it, as they don't have the money. They can't sell off the assets to companies that can as they likely don't have the legal authority to, nor is it likely a good division of the territory could be found.

These are the issues the regulators should have dealt with before the deal was done. But like all politicians they have there price and can be bought by the highest bidder. Next Frontier will fail and enter bankruptcy just like the whole deal was set up for.
