Sprint:User Error 67:User Name Incorrect

Click for full size
Got this weird new error today. Was connected. Was trying to watch a news video. Very choppy. Disconnected...
When I attempted to reconnect, I got this error.

Error 67. My "VISION" user name or password is incorrect.

UMMMM, I never put in a user name or password ! ! !

I either connect using the SPRINTVIEW or the network connection by itself.

It said not to keep trying a failed attempt or my "username" would be suspended for 20 minutes.

Has anyone else ever gotten this error?

the only way I got back online was a "forced activation" using ##RTN#. WEIRD

I just today went to one of my customers whose modem would not connect. I opened up the data profile and the vision name was completely changed to a user in Utah. Why the switch, I have no idea.

Did the ##RTN using the MSL and reactivated the modem. All is well. That is certainly a odd occurrence.

Well, i'm glad I'm not the only one.

Sounds like we used the same solution to get back online.

I still get this pesky "Update your PRL on your MC760 Sprint modem" message. DECLINED!

Sounds like the Sprint IT boys are trying out some new software that didn't workout so well. This type of thing happens in the background all the time. Sometimes a new application will not merge with the old data base from a different vendor. Just another day in the telecom business that keep a lot of people employed putting out the brushfire.

Yep I suspect this is much the same thing as the big "mass modem failures" a couple of years ago.
