MB Mb Kb KB et. al.

there are 1024Kb in a Mb and there are 8 bits in a Byte so a 2Mb/s (megaBITS) connection should upload/download at 2Mb/s*1024(Kb/s/Mb/s)/8(b/B) = 256KB/s (kiloBYTES)

easy way is to round down the K to M conversion to 1000 and round up the b to B conversion to 10.

If 2Mb/s is advertised then expect about 200KB/s
