If they really do try to get that speed, and if I do see it, I will like them a little more. I'm already mad at them at their speeds now. 6MBPS is not fast enough on my network, as we have a high activity.
We've been wanting to switch to cable internet as they're faster, but they say cable is a shared connection. All connections are shared. It's just whether they are shared at the local node(usually with fiber piped in) or at the DSLAM back at the CO. In my area, cable absolutely kills dsl hands down, even though we only have DOCSIS 1.1 cable modem technology here. Verizon DSL: 7mbps/? for a select few and 3 mbps/768 kbps for most of the rest of us, unless said person is really unlucky and can only get the 768kbps/128kbps package. TWC/Roadrunner cable: 15/1 Turbo(not just for a select few) and you can go a bit cheaper without much performance hit with the 10/1 standard package(which I downgraded to because I'd want more upload to pay for that 15 mbit down). -- The new Sony rootkit-Using the ability to remove features you paid for.
