Most people only have the local cable system as a choice. Some of those are good and some are bad. The attitude of AT&T (and its investors) is one of the big reasons why the U.S. will continue to fall behind the rest of the developed world in broadband. It's another example of willingly giving up a lead in an area of technology. |

In this area Time Warner is the archexample for not caring about the customer's real service. Lots of advertising and high prices especially after the first year sucker prices on a two year contract. The Time Warner trucks are everywhere doing repairs. |

In the four years I've had them for internet and two years for phone they've been out once to replace the modem and two short (less then 1 hour) internet outages. Guess I'm lucky or your area is unlucky. |
