 | Even 10Mbps is enough for general consumers I have 7Mbps today and actually need only 4Mbps (streaming video, netflix, hulu, etc.) and actually want to step down if it costs less.
Do 90% of consumers really need more than 10Mbps? Broadband providers need to build up infrastructure to keep up with increased load of more users, but most probably wouldn't go for over 10Mbps if it costs more.
WiMAX is coming to my area this summer.. I can see the site from my condo on top of another condo, LOS baby! If I can consistently get sustained 4Mbps+, I'll get rid of cable. |

The only thing that somewhat ticks me off, is that I end up paying more for less on AT&T vs. TWC.
Triple pay will cost me +15/month more to start on AT&T ($100 + fees vs 117+fees) and I end up with 1 box (pay extra for an extra set - no CATV on Uverse), then that comes with a $3 'internet fee' and its for 3Mbps/1Mbps. TWC starts at 15Mbps/1Mbps here, and I've hit over 30 with boost.
I'm not saying TWC is perfect... but then I don't want to pay extra for what I already have... and them some. -- Canada = Hollywood North |
