Lost my US passport card (not the passport)

Hi all, I lost my US passport card - the new ones that are given for land and sea entry...

(note this is not the passport - the only form to replace it that I can find is the one that is with the US passport as well)

what is the procedure to replace it?... please help...

Thank you...

If you're abroad, the advice given stands. Only an embassy can help you. We can't tell you if they can replace the card or not, only they can.

Why google, when you can just go to USA.gov or Travel.gov and find out the same info.

Re: Lost my US passport card

Why do you bother with a card when you have a passport?

The card is only good when crossing to and from Canada, some Foreign held tourist islands and nothing more.

Here is the the only place the card can be used. By land or sea to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or the Caribbean Region, specifically: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands (includes Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, and Virgin Gorda), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica (except for business travel), Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles (includes Bonaire, Curacao, St. Eustatius (“Statia”), Saba, and St. Maarten), St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Turks and Caicos.

The passport card cannot be used for international travel by air.

Simply check US Passport Card Lost -OR- Stolen then that form will only be for the card and that is it.

If you want a new card you have to file Form DS-64 and Form DS-11

See here: Lost or Stolen Passports in the U.S.

Re: Lost my US passport card (not the passport)

Again, if you have a passport, why did you even bother with a passport card? It's a waste of money and, obviously, one more thing to lose.

Again, just use your passport. What if you wanted to go to one more country? Without the passport, you wouldn't be able to go.

"Why google, when you can just go to USA.gov or Travel.gov and find out the same info."

That why go to the .gov sites when you can go to dslreports.com and get 17 different self made expert opinions.
