Vonage → Vonage and HN9000 Xplornet Modem?

Still trying to work it out with Vonage, but since I upgraded my system to the HN9000 modem last weekend (and MASSIVELY increased speed to 1.5m ul/.5m dl) I've lost call quality dramatically.

Any ideas?

It was actually working quite well before with the .5/.1 speeds...

So, turns out, yeah, Vonage does NOT work with the HughesNet HN9000 modem. My satellite provider also supplies "hard" VoIP service to their clients, using the same LinkSys modem Vonage does, and they do NOT offer it to their clients using the HN9000.

They tell me their engineers are working on the problem with Hughes tech, but at present, it does NOT work.

My satellite installer tells me that "soft" VoIP will work on the HN9000, mentioning IPTalk specifically.

But I don't want to run my computer just to use the phone, so I'm switching back.
