whether they merge or not, can someone tell us, what exactly this means for consumers? As a DirecTV customer I do not like the idea of Comcast owning some major channels. Comcast and DirecTV got in a fight over pricing for the Vs channel and it was offline for a couple months for DirecTV customers. I do not know if conflict of interest is the right term but I do not want a major content provider like Comcast also owning the content. Comcast owning NBC Universal would make them extremely powerful.
But if Comcast promises to fire Jeff Zucker I may be able to change my mind about the merger.  |
